Connecting Panthers, Empowering Futures: The Dallas PV Alumni Chapter Story
Since our founding in the 1970s, the Dallas Alumni Chapter of Prairie View A&M University has been a vibrant community of Panthers dedicated to upholding the university’s legacy. Our mission, “Promote, Support, and Provide Service,” guides everything we do.
We are especially proud of the impact we’ve made through our annual events:
- The Annual Scholarship Gala: This prestigious event, now in its 22nd year, is a testament to the generosity of our alumni and supporters. We’ve collectively raised over $700,000, directly benefiting students through scholarships and contributing to the development of the university’s new sports complex.
- The Annual Christmas Party: This cherished tradition celebrates the holiday season while honoring the memory of our esteemed past president, Clever Dean Lewis. The scholarship fund bearing his name has enabled over $200,000 in scholarships to be awarded to bright Dallas-area students beginning their journey at Prairie View.
